How do you do it? Keep the house clean, kids taken care of, Husband happy, pets accounted for, errands done and keep your sanity? You prioritize, make a list or set reminders to care for YOURSELF. YOU need to be your number one priority. When you feel good, you do good!

It’s science👩‍🔬! But also, just common sense. If you aren’t feeling well, you don’t put forth your all. You put out mediocre energy. YOU ARE NOT MEDIOCRE! Take a breath, take a break because it’s all going to be ok. 

First, move yo body!

Peloton came into my life at the perfect time! Never in a million years did I think when asking for a stationary bike for Christmas 2019 that it would save my mental and physical health! Covid shut shit down, sealed it up and cleared everything out. But I had peloton in my arsenal and it made all the difference! Cody, Alex, Kendall, Robin…ugh, the list goes on! They are all amazing, articulate and empowering. Get that motivation and help your ass look good too😘

Second, correct your mindset.

A great place for me is anywhere with music. Music soothes my soul. It lifts me up and reminds me who I am and what I’m made of. From Metal, Hip hop, Pop, Rap or R&B…it’s all medicinal, it hypes me up and helps me to get stuff done! Some good ol’ gangster rap always hits the spot! Also, writing ✍️. Being able to write down and purge emotions is empowering. Write it down, let it out and move on.

Third, Where’s your “you”?

Where are YOU. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually. All of these things matter. Where you are is part of what you are. Are you in a rut? Are you numb? Are you joyful? Are you bubbling over with stress? Are you beaming with positivity? This all matters, it sets your you for the day. Take a deep breath, hold, exhale, hold and repeat. Find a version of you that you want to be, exhale the other and breathe the wanted version in! Being happy IS a choice.

I walk our dog daily, after the craziness of the morning, the “before school shit show” so to speak. This is a solid 30 minute minimum for me to breathe and throw on some music. My AirPods and Amazon music are 😗🤌. It just helps to melt away tensions, reflect and remember that this too shall pass. The good, the bad, it all passes, it’s all temporary. There is always another opportunity to better yourself, help yourself and strengthen yourself. 

We’re all in this thing called life just trying to figure it all out. It’s so much sweeter when you’re enjoying it!
